I AM THANKFUL IT WAS NOT ANYTHING WORSE!!!

On Monday my mom and I were headed to a dance concert that my step sister was in. I didn't want to take Emma's car seat in because of the bulk. My mom grabbed Emma while I got Taylor out of the car. we were walking in and all of the sudden I look up and my mom is on the ground!!! She had tripped over a slight raise in the sidewalk. My first reaction "Gasp" I was frozen. I ran over grabbed Emma who was hysterical. It was dark so I couldn't see much. A very nice lady came over to help my mom up as I rushed inside to take a look at Emma Everything looked fine but she wouldn't stop crying. We ended up going to the ER and after A LOT of poking and prauding they took a few x-rays and they found a break in her little leg:( She got her cast today and only has to where it for 3 weeks! Thank You mom for taking the brunt of the fall and protecting my little angel all that you could. My mother Bless her heart felt and feels awful. It could have happened to anyone and I am just grateful that it wasn't any worse.

Nate Daddy Brown!!!! I am so thankful for Nate. He is so amazing. Not only does he support our family financially, but he is there for us all the time. He makes time to play with the girls, takes Taylor to the park, and makes it possible that I get some alone time. Which is much needed! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Nate you are just what I could ask for in a friend, husband and daddy. The lord has given me my perfect match, you compliment my strengths and weaknesses, you know how you make me smile and You love ME for ME!! (Which I am sure is hard at times;) You are a light in my life. thank you for teaching me all you know about the gospel and for being such a great example to me and our girls. We look to you for direction and stability and put you heart in to giving us everything that we need. I love you so much Nate I can't wait for the many years to come and more amazing life experiences that I get to share with you and our family. Thank you for pushing me to excel and be a better person. I love you!!

happy thanksgiving

One of my favorite holidays. Probably just because I get to eat so much food!! Well this year we had dinner and Nates sisters house in Sandy we planned to eat dinner play games and spend the whole day together. Well we ate and the guys went up to play the wii so us ladies started looking at the ads!! Well we saw that shopko was open so we took off with out ANY kids and went shopping!! ahha well it was fun and then we decided that we all needed to do this whole black friday thing so we all spent to night. (If thats what you want to call it) and at about 2am we went to walmart just 2 of us stayed the other 3 went to shopko at 4 am!! It was so much fun and I think it will turn into something that we do every year together. We got everything that we went in for + a few extras. a lot of good deals and absolutoly NO sleep! Thanks to all of our hubbies who were supportive of us going and watching the kids.. even though they where sleeping most of the time! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

Happy Birthday TAYLOR!!!

On the 26th it was Taylors 2 Year birthday! I personally can't believe it has been 2 years. Despite her feeling like crap we were able to have some family over to celebrate. She was So excited to see all the family especially her cousins. She got spoiled like always and LOVES all of her new toys. Some of the things she got where food and pans for her kitchen, puzzle, care bears and movie, broom and mop, magnetic princess dressup kit, pants, playdoh kit and a barbie Thanks Everyone!! Nate and I made her an aladdin cake. I did all the baking. Then started frosting and nate asked if he could help... He was really just dissapointed in my frosting abilities! anyway I let him finish frostingand then we did the rest together it was alot of fun!

So Taylor has been really whiny this last week and I was getting so frustrated because she wouldn't use her words she wouldn't point... NOthing all she would do is say I want.. I want... Frustrating Right? Well Thursday night she just kept waking up multiple times throughout the night and nate or I would go in a comfort her and then she would just fall back to sleep. She woke up again at 7 so I just decided to wake up with her, hold her and watch a movie. She felt a little warm so I took her Temperature and it was 99.6 which is not TOO bad but then when I changed her I noticed she had a little bit of a rash. So I took her to the doctor and by the time we got there the rash had gotten worse at started to appear on her face and her temp was now 101.6 and all the doctor said was that it was a Viral Rash and to give her Motrin every six hours and if the rash starts to irritate her give her some Benedryl. That night Nate had gotten us tickets to see Twilight and his sister was going to come watch the girls. I kinda felt like I should stay home and hold Taylor but Nate said that she would be fine she is going to bed anyways. Well when we got home she was asleep but felt REALLY warm she was up to 103.6!! ahhh I freaked out. Nate got her in the tub and that broke the fever and it went back down to normal! yay! the rash is still pretty bad but slowly getting better. she won't eat anything all she wants to do is be held or take a bath. It is so frustrating to know that all you can do is hold her and give her her medicine. I don;t blame her for being Whiny I would be too!! probably mush worse actually she is handeling it pretty well. I wish I could just take all the pain and irritation away from her.

Thankful Thursday

So this happened a few months ago. But still comes to mind often( When I have a bad day). It was a really rough day both kids where really whiny and I was going crazy trying to get stuff done. I thought it would be good for us to get out of the house. So I packed up the kids and went to the movie store at the time we had a MVP membership at Hollywood Video where you could have 3 movies out at a time as much as you want. Nate said he would return them that morning so I knew I was good to get new ones. I was planning on getting 2 movies for Taylor and one for myself. So I let her pick her 2 first so that she could hold something and be distracted while I picked mine. That didn't turn out so well she threw them on the ground and was running around the store. I was holding Emmas car seat(she was screaming) so I couldn't really run after her easily. So I just grabbed a movie and went to find her. Finally we got up the front and low and behold Nate DIDN'T return the movies. I almost started screaming at the lady behind the counter as if it was her fault. She probably thought I was crazy. Then we went to Little Caesars because I did not want to cook and I have a real problem with leaving my kids in my car while I run in somewhere so I of course lugged them in bought a pizza and my arms where full so I put the pizza on top of the car to get the girls in. I started driving and I heard a big thud as the Pizza slid down my windshield and hit the trunk. I pulled over practically in tears thinking well I need to turn around and get a new one and there was a cop about 3 cars behind me. He stopped in front of the pizza now scattered all over the road put his lights on got out put on some gloves on and picked it up I felt like the biggest idiot(even though nowone knew is was me) anyway I turned around and went back to the store lugged the kids in and they had suddenly gotten busy So they didn't have any already made so I had to wait. Taylor had taken her shoes of in the time it took me to get back and I thought it would be fast so I just carried her in wellthat meant now that I would have to hold her on my lap and she wouldn't have it! she was practically screaming the whole time we waited, I also got a text while I was waiting from nate telling me that I need to go fill up in gas because prices where suppose to sky rocket the next morning. I just wanted to go HOME!!! BUt I put the pizza safely in my car and drove to the gas station got out to fill up and it wouldn't read my card I was so upset at this point that I jut got in my car and sat with my face on the steering wheel for a while then slowly pulled to another pump got out and was pumping gas and randomly some guy started walking toward me. My initial thought was. ugh I really don't want to talk to anyone. He said HI how are you today? Great I said sarcastically. he said do you mind if I clean your windows not for money or anything as he already started to clean. I need to do my one GOOd deed for the day. I looked at him surprised and said sure although he was practically done already. he finished and then just left. He had TOTALLY made my day by simply asking if he could wash my windshield! I am so thankful for those people out there that make an effort to do nice things for others. If you are one of those people just know you DO make a difference. As ever so small as that mans gesture was it meant and still means a lot to me.



By the way I have finished New Moon and Eclipse and can't wait to start Breaking Dawn!!

TWILIGHT

Okay so I know that most people are excited and are talking about the movie, but I have been told by So many people that I should read this book/Series! (mainly my sister Audrey like 100 times) SO I finally did it!!! It took me about a day and half.( Which is amazing for me) I could not put it down now I am on to New moon and can't wait to finish it! Thanks for pushing me to do it I LOVED IT!

First snow fall~

the other day we woke up to SNOW!! I don't really love snow so I wasn't too excited... Taylor on the other hand was in Aww by it. She is now to the age where she would actually play in it. Nate was getting ready to go to work so I threw Taylors gear on and out the door we went. It was perfect snow to make a snowman, compacted SO easily. Well here is our Masterpiece with tootsie roll eyes and a sucker nose!

Thankful Thursday

I am SOOO thankful for the lock I got for our fridge!!! Taylors little hands were regularly getting in and out all day!

My friend Nicole invited me to go see some goats, chickens and horse. Taylor was a little weary at first but once there was a fence in between them she was having the time of her life!

HALLOWEEN

Our ward Halloween party was a week before Halloween it was a lot of fun. We had a pot luck dinner, Chili Cook off and Trunk or Treat!


On Halloween day we went up to Gardener Village with some family we ate pizza for lunch and then went on a witch scavenger hunt which was a little hard because most of the kids couldn't tell the difference between any of the witches and the where A LOT of people there. After we finished the Hunt we got a cookie from Naborhood Bakery for only 25cents.(not really worth it) But we had a good time! We then rushed home to again get ready for Trick or Treating, Taylor was already in her costume for Gardner village but if you can't tell her hair had fallen out from falling asleep in the car and she had enough of the crown before I even got it on her.. Anyways, We met up with my mom to go to her wards trunk of treat. We thought it would be more enjoyable for Taylor and it wouldn't last too long. She was so excited after a few trunks she finally got into saying "Trick or Treat"!! so cute she always wanted to get the candy for herself after we had gone around to all of them her bag was too heavy for her to carry and she didn't want to stop. We then came home makiong the mistake of leaving her bag with her in her carseat when we got out of the car she had two suckers stuck under her but lots of other OPEN candy tasted and then pushed away for the next piece. I caught her in the middle of digging in to a Reeses peanut butter cup! Nate and I ended the night with a scary movie. So fun I love Halloween!

Our family.. I had no intention on dressing up until I got to my moms house and she had gotten all this clown stuff for her husband to wear and he didn't want to wear it so I just threw it on. Taylor thought it was really cool so in the end it was all worth it!

I heard Christmas music on the radio yesterday(Halloween)!!!!! AHhhhhh that is so annoying do they forget that there is still Thanksgiving to come? I LOVE Christmas music but honestly already playing in OCTOBER! what a joke.

Thankful Thursday!

I am thankful that I have so much family that is close by. It make the holidays and any occasion SO much fun! Being able to raise my children surrounded by family I think can make all the difference I hope that my girls can have amazing friendships with their cousins for many years to come! after all family is forever!!!!! I LOVE FAMILY!

one week and a day late!!

Okay so I have to admit I am not doing so well with these thankful thursdays. I also am slacking on posting events happening in my life and the holidays are coming so many more events will be coming.. ahhh so I need to catch up so bare with me as this might be a long post.....

Nate had made taylor some spaghetti o's for lunch and I am sitting right next to her feeding emma and for some reason had to go in the other room for a minute I come back and she looks like this....hahaha seriously she had to have been thinking about it before but didn't do it because I was sitting there. I was gone for no joke less then a minute! So funny~

Taylors cousin Sadie came over and stayed a few nights with us. This was Taylor's first time having anyone over for a real sleepover! They had so much fun laughing, fighting, sharing, pushing and the list goes on....

Ahhhhh Books!!!!

So Nate and I both have a passion for books.. having time to read though is another story anyway i really enjoy getting books for Taylor but they are all so expensive! So I had a hard time buying a lot of books when I knew the outcome would be torn pages, walked on, bent...... until one day our local library was having a book sale the first time I went I got there very late actually probably on the second day of the sale and I ran into Very few that where ever worth the 25 cents they were asking so I bought those few.. Well 6 months later they had another one it started friday morning at 9 am. I was determined to get some good books this time So I show up at 8am I told you I was determined! The people were setting up and they were nice and let me browse any way i walked away that day with over 100 childrens books for like 30 bucks! I was so excited. Now I don't have to worry if they get stepped on, torn, ...... because most of them only cost 25 cents!!! Well They had another one that started this morning oh and yes I  was there at 8 am !!! LOVE IT!!

And right now I am thankful for all the lord has blessed me with here on this earth and that we have SO many temples nearby. I was able to go to a sealing yesterday and it was so amazing I love all the promises the lord gives to us if we in return keep our own. I am so grateful to be sealed to my wonderful husband to time and all eternity and know that this dreadful world is not the end.

COOKIE FUN!

Taylor and I made cookies the other day. It was so much fun! She loves helping me cook. I let her pour in all the dry ingredients, and most of the stirring. If I even tried to do anything she would get all upset and so it was a very slow cookie making process but she had a blast got really dirty and we ate a lot of cookie dough which is the best of any cookie making process.
